Perhaps it’s too much time on his hands. Or maybe not enough? I’m not sure. Either way Ben Spink (what – you’ve never heard of him?) can control his TiVo over the web. I’m still trying to figure out if this is a step forward, backward, or in some undefined direction. I should also mention that he’s also the author of CrushFTP – a program that is easily identifiable as useful.

All you TiVo owners that are dying to find out how you too can become web enabled – check out his site. No, there’s no quick install – just a bunch of instructions. But hey – making great advances in technology isn’t always easy.
