Another product of Serious Magic is Ultra - yeah, I think they could have been more descriptive too. One of the main features of Visual Communicator is the ‘green screen’ (or chroma key) technology. Ultra is a chroma key tool.
Ultra uses ‘Vector Keying’ to get better keying even in less then perfect situations. Then their ‘virtual set technology’ let’s you add multiple angle backgrounds, and camera pans and zooms.
My take: can real good chroma keying be done with low cost software? I’m skeptical. But it doesn’t hurt to try it out.
