Pirate Raid

In the news today the Department of Justice takes a rather strong stand on piracy. No not the boat kind, the media kind. The FBI took possession of computers from homes and an ISP. The computers (and their owners) were part of a private peer-to-peer network. While it might have been just one network the geographic locations were quite spread apart - Texas, New York and Wisconsin.
Read the AP report, or the ZDNet story.
Here’s my take. Good. Software, music, whatever else piracy is wrong. (Note the period on the end of that sentence, there’s no dash, no comma.) You have as much right to the intellectual property of another person as the guy sitting next to you has to your paycheck. Yes, I understand that recording industry may be pushing intellectual property copyright laws too far, but at it’s basic definition piracy is simply wrong. So what do you think?
