Recording Multi Track Audio on your PC

Have you ever wanted to record and produce your own music or vocals or just wanted to experiment with some of the many PC based recording studio software applications? If you have, take a look at n-Track Studio from FASoft. n-Track Studio is an Audio & MIDI Digital Multi Track Recorder that transforms your PC into a powerful audio recording studio. And best of all, it is shareware. With the non-registered version there are some limitations, but you do get a good idea on what the software, and PC based multi track recording, is about. You can register the full version for only $49. If you want 24 bit sound card support, you can add this for an additional $26.

With n-Track, you can do many of the same things that you could do with a full tape multi track recorder, but you can do it in your own home or office with your own PC. The program supports 24bit-192 kHz recording, multiple channel soundcards, live input processing, CD burning, mp3 encoding and much more.

I ran this software on a P4 2.53 gigahertz PC with 256 megabytes(MB) of ram. Under this configuration, it ran well, but I did start to see some of the limitations of the hardware and would consider increasing ram to at least 512 MB if I were going to use it on a regular basis. One of the limitations I did find was that there were no filters or processing that could help my voice, it could not perform miracles.
