Phoenix has landed
The Phoenix Mars Lander has touched down. I sat through the two hour live special on the landing on the Discovery Channel. Seeing the joy on the faces of those who have spent years of their lives waiting for that moment was priceless. During the two hour show there were interviews with many of those involved and the enthusiasm, the dedication to the project and their quest for knowledge was inspiring. You can see the latest photos from the lander at it’s site.
I know some people may think that space exploration is a waste of money but I disagree. This is just one of many more missions to the red planet and others. We all look to the sky and wonder. Phoenix will surely answer a few questions but many new ones will come up. I hope we never stop trying.

They are going to do a lot more. I heard that NASA is canceling all spacecrafts in 2009 and are going to focus on having Humans on Mars
