Paper balloting on the way back in Florida

I’ve read many times that the future of voting will be electronic. But over the last few years there has been plenty of evidence to suggest that the current crop of electronic voting machines here in the US are not secure. Now it seems that Florida is going to go back to paper ballots in time for the 2008 elections. This is a good thing in my opinion. Until we can guarantee and safe guard the electronic voting system it’s best to rely on tried and true methods to ensure our democracy is safe.

It’s still electronic (more so than it was in 2000) but there is a paper trail.
