Blogging for money is a often talked about subject. After all, wouldn’t it be great to be able to get paid for writing about stuff you already know? Yes, it’s a great fantasy, but the reality is that even though you know about the subject you’re writing about, you need to know HOW to write about it in order to actually blog for cash.

• Watch Traffic Patterns - no, I’m not talking about your daily traffic patterns, I’m talking about your topical traffic patterns: what topics within your niche are the most popular? If you have a game review site, is your Nintendo Wii section more popular than the Xbox 360 section? By monitoring your traffic patterns you can further refine your blogs topics, in order to maximize your profits.
• Listen to Your Comments - your readers are your life, and they know what they want. If one particular article (or set of articles) get more feedback than another, take the hint ans continue to write about that subject!
• Stick to One Niche - everyone has an opinion about everything, but websites generally are not successful if they cover every topic known to man. Your blog needs to be laser-focused, and not divert on other subjects.
