Kanoodle Provides Contextual Ads For MSN Spaces
MSN is now sharing pay per click revenues with MSN Spaces bloggers under a new agreement with Kanoodle.
According to SearchEngineJournal:
“The Kanoodle/MSN agreement will also pay the bloggers themselves via a revenue sharing model: ‘As part of its relationship with MSN, Kanoodle will enable MSN Spaces users to seamlessly add sponsored links to their Space. In return, participating members will receive a percentage of revenues generated by these links. Kanoodle will provide sponsored links and manage the reporting and payment aspects for all MSN Spaces members who opt-in to the program.’”
On the MSN Spaces blog, there is also a mention of allowing bloggers to monetize their blogs with Amazon affiliate links.
Many MSN watchers are wondering why MSN is not coming up with its own version of contextual advertising to compete with Google AdSense and Yahoo! Publisher Network. It would only make sense since MSN is already beta testing its own version of pay per click advertising: MSN adCenter.
