There are many sources of information available to stay on top of what’s happening in the search engine optimization and marketing world. Blogs are particularly useful since they are updated more frequently and when they come from the source, pretty reliable. At least as reliable as their PR firm handlers.
The official search engine blogs:
Official Google Blog
Yahoo Search Blog
MSN Search’s Blog
Ask Jeeves Blog
In the past year, search engines have embraced the use of blogs in a big way. Google has blogs (combined Google Blogs RSS feed from Phillip) for each of it’s major search products for example. Also, Yahoo offers an RSS feed for it’s “What’s Next” page where they announce beta products.
Search engine employees also often have blogs, which can be very insightful - such as Jeremy Zawodny of Yahoo and Matt Cutts of Google.
There are also a growing abundance of SEO blogs as more and more search marketers get in the game. Recent additions include: Greg Boser and Mike Grehan
For a good list of SEO or SEM blogs, SEOBook maintains a great list as does Fantomas. A very cool SEO blog aggregator site is SearchBrains.
You can also subscribe to RSS feeds from search results to capture posts on topics from blogs related to SEO and SEM. Example: Google Blog Search for “SEO“
You can also find some great blogs just by searching Google: “SEO blog” or “SEO blogs” or Gada.be: “SEO blog” or “SEO blogs“
