Logging Out Of A Web Page

How many of you forget to log out of a web page after leaving it? If you’re logged in to something, ALWAYS log out - don’t just close the window or tab. Not logging out could leave you vulnerable to identity theft. And webmasters: PLEASE make sure there is a logout link or button on any page your visitors might come to after a log in on your site and that it’s PROMINENT! I’ve wasted many minutes trying to find the logout button on a site because it’s not readily visible - the old Hotmail interface was a good example of that.

One hint: if you can’t see a log out button or link, go to the ‘Manage My Account’ page - there should be one there.[tags]login, log in, log out, logout, web, website[/tags]
