Cheap Nanoparticle Solar Cells

Researchers at Indiana’s University of Notre Dame, have discovered a way to increase the efficiency of nanoparticle based solar cells using carbon nanotubes and some commonly available chemicals. “This is very important work,” says Gerald Meyer, professor of chemistry at Johns Hopkins University. “Using carbon nanotubes as a conduit for electrons from titanium oxide is a novel idea, and this is a beautiful proof-of-principle experiment.”
