Hi everyone,

This is going to be a review on “the world’s most advanced mouse”; the LogiTech MX Revolution. This mouse is wireless with a Micro USB Receiver and it doesn’t use AA or AAA batteries, it uses a rechargeable batter which uses a Charging Docking station that the MX Revolution easily slides into to charge. This mouse runs for around $90 with shipping and handling.

First off I would just like to say that I was going to be buying the MX Revolution or the Wireless Apple Mighty Mouse, and honestly since I’m using a Mac, I wish I would’ve gone with the Mighty Mouse. There’s one thing I can’t get over about using other mice on a Mac, and it’s the little jerking motions that the pointer makes when moving the mouse. I’ve tried optical wired, optical wireless, laser wired, and laser wireless and none of them have worked properly except the wireless MIghty Mouse that came standard with my iMac.

Installation of the MX Revolution was beyond easy. You just plug in the Micro USB Receiver and then it’s basically ready for use. You can download the customization software from the LogiTech website. Customizing the MX Revolution’s advanced functions was relatively easy as well as very impressive. The Scroll Wheel on the MX Revolution was very, very impressive for when you set the acceleration speed of how fast you scroll the wheel, it will go into free spin mode in which it uses a ball-bearing to keep spinning until you stop it or it slows down completely.

Charging the MX Revolution is very easy and very useful. The Battery lasts for weeks on a single full charge and it only takes about an hour to fully charge.

I recommend this mouse to anyone who wants a great customizable wireless mouse without having to worry about new batteries. This mouse is well worth the $90-$100 you will most likely pay for it. Good luck and thanks for reading!

Good day!

Hey everyone, recently I just purchased the Iomega UltraMax 500GB Desktop HDD…

I was very excited upon taking it out of the box and setting it up, but unfortunately my excitement didn’t last long. I set up the HDD through FireWire 400 to my iMac. I also set up the HDD to work with Time Machine, which is an application for Mac that allows you to Restore files in real-time from your HDD back to your computer…

As for the physical settings for the HDD, I actually thought it was really loud when I first set it on my desk. The stand that the HDD sits on basically puts all of the vibrations into the desk, which for me, I have a wooden desk and if I don’t have the HDD setting on something it makes a loud humming sound. This problem can be solved by setting the HDD on anything that will remove it from the desk surface such as a wallet (what I use since mine is empty) or a DVD/game case.

The speed of the HDD is very fast, although I havn’t tried USB 2.0, FireWire 400 is working perfectly for me. This HDD along with many other’s don’t actually give you ALL of the space you pay for. For example, my 500GB HDD was actually just 465GB upon taking it out of the box and setting it up for the first time.

Overall, I honestly wish I would’ve waited and gotten Apple’s new HDD, Time Capsule, which features a 500GB or 1TB with a built in Airport Extreme Base Station that uses wireless to connect the HDD to your Mac; $299 or $499 I believe.

I would recommend this Desktop HDD for anyone who just needs a whole lot of space on a disk for pretty cheap.

Thanks for reading!

Hey everyone!

Sorry for not posting for awhile but this going to be a Re-pinion on Apple’s new MacBook Air sub-notebook. First off, I would just like to say that I loved every section of the Keynote except for the MacBook Air part. I love the design for the MacBook Air, I think it’s gorgeous and very unique, even for Apple. But the hardware is what I was disappointed about in the MacBook Air.Here are the basic specs of both models of the MacBook Air:

$1,799
-Intel Core 2 Duo 1.6Ghz
80GB 4200 rpm PATA Hard Drive
2GB Memory
Built-In 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR

or

—————————————————–

$3,098
-Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz
64GB Solid-State Drive
2GB Memory
Built-In 802.11n and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR

—————————————————————————————–

In my opinion I think that Apple shouldn’t have released this product this early. I think that for $1,799 anyone in their right minds would purchase the 15.4 inch MacBook Pro or a nearly maxed out MacBook. The MacBook Air isn’t all that much thinner than the MacBook Pro.

——————————————

MacBook Air 0.76 inches thin

MacBook Pro is 1 inch thin

——————————————

So thats like 0.24 inches thinner than the MacBook Pro which isn’t much considering how much better hardware that the MacBook Pro has in it.. And if you purchase the $3,098 MacBook Air you might as well just a buy a Mac Pro or a full maxed out MacBook Pro.

I do admire that Apple and Intel went to completely revolutionary levels to create this notebook but I just don’t think there will very many people out there that will really need a notebook that is only 0.24 inches thinner than the MacBook Pro which is twice as good for only $200 more ($1,799 model).

Apple re-invented the Track Pad on the MacBook Air by introducing some new finger gestures, such as pinching to zoom, using three fingers to flip through pictures or documents, and other commands used on the iPhone/iPod Touch.

I also admire that Apple has introduced all new wireless capabilities with the new Application “Remote Disc” which allows you to access optical drives from other Macs or PC’s in your wireless range and you can install applications from a DVD in those optical drives all through Wireless Remote Disc. I personally can’t live without an optical drive, and it’s not even that I use it ALL THE TIME or anything like that but just that in case I needed to use a disc I could have the option. But Apple gave the option to add a $99 external super drive for the MacBook Air that connects via USB.

Apple also didn’t include an Ethernet Port for the option to go wired if you prefer.I mean, I LOVE APPLE and all of it’s glory but come on Apple, this isn’t you!I think Apple would’ve have benefitted themselves and helped out the average consumer more by simply refreshing the MacBook’s and MacBook Pro’s; giving them a newer shinier design, some new and faster hardware, include the new wireless and track pad capabilities, and lower the price on both by $50-$100 and then they would be selling there new notebooks like crazy!

But all-in-all I personally don’t think that the Apple MacBook Air will sell tremendously as the new iMac did. This is exactly how Apple killed the G4 cube; it was great new technology that was fit in a very small package for it’s time and it was revolutionary but the price is what killed it off.Well, thanks for reading!

Good day people!!!

Good day everyone!

Today I am going to be comparing the Apple iPhone and the supposed ‘iPhone Killer’ the LG Voyager.Well, I’ll start this off by just saying I love the iPhone to death by unfortunetly for me, I am on a verizon service and I can’t use the iPhone as a phone so really have no reason to buy one. =[So here we go, and if you don’t agree with something that I post or you want to state your own opinion, please comment!!! Thanks!

——————————————————————————-

Apple iPhone

The Apple iPhone is the new best device of 2007, but many people have been furious about the iPhone not being able to be used on other networks (Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint etc.)But other than the choice of AT&T as the carrier, the iPhone has been a smash hit! Combining an iPod, a phone, and a mobile web-browser into a small, elegant, device with the latest and greatest in user-interface, the Touch Screen. The iPhone can be purchased in the 8GB model only for $399.00.

Specs: 8GB iPhone:

-3.5 inch multi-touch screen

Battery: 250 hour stand-by time.

Runs Mac OS X-

8GB flash drive

-2.0 Mega Pixel camera
Wi-Fi (802.11b/g)

Uses AT&T Carrier

Fully featured Safari web-browser

——————————————————————————————————————–

LG Voyager

The LG Voyager has not yet been released for purchase, but will be available sometime this year. The LG Voyager has been refered to as ‘the iPhone Killer’ because of it matches the iPhone with its similiar multi-touch user interface, but it supposedly beats the iPhone with its full QWERTY keyboard (just like Verizon Wireless’ ENVY phone). The LG Voyager has an expandable memory upgrade to 8GB, just like the iPhone.
Specs LG Voyage 8GB:
Speakerphone, VZ NavigatorPicture, text, video and instant messaging

Bluetooth stereo for headsets and speakers
Built-in stereo speakers

2.0 megapixel camera

Good day, everyone!Today I will be writing a repinion (review/opinion) about the Apple iMac. In this post I will give some details, as well as some recommendations to those of you who are planning on buying an iMac in the near future.

As some of you might already know from chatting with me on the live chat-room; I currently do not have an iMac yet, but I have gone through the process of customizing an iMac on the Apple Store so many times that I might as well already have it. So please read on. =] Well, I’m gonna start this out by just telling you about the spec’s of each of the iMac models.

BASIC: 20″ Glossy Screen, 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 250GB HD, 1GB RAM, 8x Superdrive, ATI 128MB Graphics=$1199.00

BASIC ADVANCED: 20″ Glossy Screen, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 320GB HD, 1GB RAM, 8x Superdrive, ATI 256MB Graphics=$1499.00

BASIC HIGH-END: 24″ Glossy Screen, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 320GB HD, 1GB RAM, 8x Superdrive, ATI 256MB Graphics=$1799.00

EXTREME HIGH-END: 24″ Glossy Screen, 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor, 500GB HD, 2GB RAM, 8x Superdrive, ATI 256MB Graphics=$2299.00

If your budget isn’t very big, but you’re really sure you want an iMac, the 2.0GHz Model for $1199.00 is probably your best choice. And if you need something individual that you need from another iMac model, you can probably customize it when buying it from the Apple Store.

If your budget is big enough to afford an more advanced model of the iMac the 2.4 GHz 20″ or 2.4GHz 24″ model would probably be your best choice; but the only difference between these two iMac models is the screen size (20 inch or 24 inch) everything else is the same. So if you need a lot of screen space, then pay the extra buck for the extra 4 inches and you won’t be disappointed. If the price isn’t a factor and you have a big budget then you should invest in the 2.8GHz 24″ Extreme iMac. Even if you don’t need some of the features that this iMac offers, you probably won’t need another computer for a very long time. This iMac model would be perfect for anyone whose budget is big enough to purchase it. (which mine IS NOT.)

So those are my recommendations on the new Apple iMac, but I would like to give you my opinion on the transformation from the previous generation of iMac to the current generation iMac.Overall, I think that the design is brilliant, although I have heard numerous complaints about how many people dislike the new Silver and Black design other than the old all White design.I think that with the Silver chassy and Black border around the screen really give the iMac a lot of “BOOM”! (yes, BOOM) And what I mean by BOOM is that when you look at the iMac it really pops out at you and yells BOOM. Haha?Well, that pretty much wraps up my ‘Repinion’ on the new Apple iMac.

So even if you aren’t planning on purchasing the new iMac, you try watching the video below and try to not say, “Wow, that does have BOOM.”

Good day everyone!!!And thank you!!!

Good day everyone!

I just thought I would share with you some of my opinions on how could Microsoft ever compete with Apple and more important: what’s to be created from each company, because Apple has obviously increased its lead over Microsoft over the past 5-10 years. Microsoft and Apple have pretty much been the two biggest competetors in the Computer/Electronics Industry. And honestly, I can’t wait to see what their competetion is like in a few years once technology starts to advance.

This whole idea came to me one day when I was viewing the Apple Website and reviewing the products that Microsoft has tried to compete with such as (iPod = Zune). I think that no other company could ever catch up to the Apple iPod and their lead in the personal media player industry, because Microsoft’s design of the Zune doesn’t pop out at you and scream “BUY ME!” when you look at it as the iPod Classic, iPod Nano, and now iPod Touch do.And as far as operating systems go, Apple and Microsoft have been closely competing for the top spot. Although Microsoft has more users using Windows; Apple’s operating system Mac OS X is slowly but surely creeping up behind Microsoft.

The New Operating systems of 2007 from Microsoft and Apple are im sure all of you know; Windows Vista & Mac OS X Leopard.

WINDOWS VISTA

-Windows Vista was released January 30, 2007 and I have heard more complaints about Vista being the worst operating system ever made and that some people would rather use Windows 95, which from the computer I used Vista on didn’t seem like a reasonable statement. Although upgrading your operating system only and not you’re computer too is probabably the main problem; due to driver updates and what not.

Mac OS X Leopard

-Mac OS X Leopard was released very recently on October 26, 2007. I have heard from numerous different ‘new Leopard’ users that they think it actually makes their computer more powerful for doing things that they usually do, which I’m not sure if that is true or not.But either way, I think Leopard looks much more clean and ready to be used over Vista. I mean, just the box for Vista looks complicating. Haha. But I think if Microsoft wants to get back in the race that they need to think of something very original that people will really want to use.

Well, that’s my opinion, I hoped you enjoyed it!!!Thanks, and Good Day everyone!
