First I’d like to say thanks for offering your knowledge in this easy to access forum.
Now for background: I’ve always been a PC-owner throughout my digital-creative experience. I’ve had some training on Macs, but have never noticed a real performance advantage to either so I’ve always stuck with PCs because of price & availability of software. Now that Mac has developed a line of MacPros with Intel chips that can run Windows based programs as well as Apple based software I’m considering my first Mac purchase, but I have a few questions.
1. Will the Mac Pro be upgradeable in the future (2-3 years from now)?
2. I’ll be upgrading from Adobe CS to Adobe CS3 … will there be any advantage to purchasing the Mac version over the Windows version?
2. I use a web hosting service, will I have to make any adjustments to my service if I still use Dreamweaver to update my sites?
3. Will I have to make changes to my other hardware: Ipod, scanner, digital camera, etc?
4. Will all of my data/media files transfer?
