Help! My CD got stuck!

  • No Related Post

Sometimes this just happens… You insert a CD, try to eject it, and it gets stuck in the process.

Here’s something you can do that has helped me out more than once!

  • First, reboot your system and hold the mouse button.
  • Second, fire up your terminal and type the following command:
    drutil tray eject 0

This command never fails and will, if your CD-ROM drive isn’t broken, pop-out your CD or DVD!

What about putting the end of a paper clip in the little hole on the front of the CD drive? That has always worked for me.

True, but the new macbooks don’t have the paperclip “feature” anymore!!

Oh, man… the good ‘ol paperclip days! :)
