‘Halo 3′ Beta and Xbox 360 Elite?!?

The Xbox 360 Elite (previously known as the Xbox 360 black) is official. The new configurartion, on sale on April 29 for $479, includes a 120 GB hard drive, HDMI output, an HD cable, a black controller, a black headset, and of course, that sexy black paint job. Too bad it doesn’t have wireless internet built in.
On the Halo 3 beta front, the Xbox Live “maintenance” update today has the internets abuzz with rumors that MS will announce the beta tomorrow. Here’s a break down of the action:

Personally, I don’t think that the special announcement will be the Halo 3 beta. More likely, it’ll be new Gears of War maps or free downloads of some arcade games.
