The Smokehouse Ramblers Acoustic Blues Trio

This post should have been up yesterday but I had issues connecting to the server so you are going to get his one today and another pick late tonight.

I have said it many times before and will say it many times again. What I enjoy and find most gratifying about doing this pick of the day and Tom Malafarina is one such musician. Within hours of contacting him seeking permission to play his material, I had an enthusiastic “yes” in my inbox.

The best part is Tom also sent me lots of material. He sent them one e-mail at a time, telling me about each track. Yeah, FTP or P2P may have been quicker but I am rather pleased to have the e-mail serve as information about the attached track. I also know it took a great deal of Tom’s time and am very grateful for it.

This is a track from a project called "Smokehouse Ramblers Acoustic Blues Trio", which Tom is a part of. The other members of the Trio are Buddy Cleveland and Steve Cocchi. The CD is titled "Can’t Get Used to It".

Tom also does a solo version of this song. I will play that version and some other music by this outstanding bluesman on the New Years Eve Edition of the "The Lumpcast" on Geeks Radio, which airs from 6-8 PM EST. Tune in to hear him and other great artist from all genre.
