Today’s pick is the winner in the folk category in the 2006 John Lennon Songwriting Contest. I chose "Evaporate" by Chris Ayer. I found him over at Podsafe Music Network.

As I have mentioned before, one of the most rewarding things about doing a podcast is the correspondence I get to send back and forth between artits, fans and other podcasters. One such person who pops into my inbox from time to time is Jersey Joe. He in his own words "spend(s) about 4 hours everynight contacting worthy bands on myspace and pitching the Podsafe Music Network. Jersey Joe is the person who first turned me on to Phil Ayoub who I featured on 19 November, 2008. Jersey Joe mentioned that the artist I am playing today just recently released a tune "Awake". Thanks for the help Jersey Joe. Jersey Joe also does a weekly pick called Pick to Click.
