No joke!
100% real!
100% proven!
100% not fake!
Make $1,000’s per day in your underwear!
This is not a scam, scheme, or wishful thinking!
Have I gotten your attention yet? I thought so. You’ve probably seen similar sites out there, either via AdSense, eBay, or on one of the millions of crapsites on the Internet, and you’ve probably fallen for the hype only to realize that the product or service they’re offering is a bunch of garbage.
I’ve been doing a lot of research on this phenomenon known as “Internet Marketing” for the past six months. I’ve read and written articles, websites, and eBooks (thankfully, I’m smart enough to not spend money on any of the products offered by these marketdroids. Did you know most of these websites don’t have any kind of protection for the downloaded files? You can just type in the product name and download it). I’ve played the SEO game, and I’ve done the eBook thing, and I’ve made some cash from affiliate links. Yes, folks, I’ve even done the article submission thing.
From split testing down to conversion ratios: I’ve calculated it all. Was I successful? Well, that depends on your definition of success. On one hand, I have not been able to create a website that would be able to support my lifestyle; but, on the other hand, I’ve achieved my goal to acquire knowledge.
Out of everything I’ve learned, there is one thing that stands out in my mind, a “mathematical” formula (and that’s being very liberal with the expression):
Quality content + repeat visitors + new visitors + ads/sales/affiliates = cash
How did I come to this conclusion? The scientific process: conjecture->hypothesis->experimentation->failure->repeat. I’ve learned what works (writing 4+ quality articles per day, article submissions, blogging, AdWords) and what doesn’t work (buying traffic, spam).
Now, is having a viable Internet business as simple as the “formula” above makes it out to be? Not in a million years. Even selling “information products” online (one of the “easy money makers” promised by so many marketers) requires, literally, hundreds of man-hours. In fact, building a business from the ground up is one of the most labor intensive things you will ever do in your life. It’s not easy, it never was easy, and it never will be easy.
To prove my point, here’s what day looks like on one of my more popular ventures, Batty Auctions:
- 5+ hours researching and writing daily content.
- 8+ hours designing, and redesigning the website for SEO and AdSense optimization.
- 2+ hours making/answering phone calls/e-mails.
- 2+ hours researching potential sources of website traffic.
And that’s just one website. I’m running multiple websites with multiple ideas, and each one is only breaking even (to top all of that off, I have a real life job I go to, to pay the bills).
So, no, you’re not going to get rich quick. You’re not going to be able to pay your rent by next week, and you’re not going to build the next multimedia empire overnight in your pajamas.
In the words of Ralphie’s dad in A Christmas Story: “Getting rich is hard work!”
(In case anyone is wondering why my websites are not successful in the monetization sense, it’s because I don’t offer one particularly useful service to users, and I know it.)

Hey I am found you in Joel Comm’s book the Adsense Code! I am getting pretty excited about adsense and building websites, cuz I have alot of ideas that I am putting into action.
I’m learning alot from the adsense code and can’t wait to put it to use!
I have a question though. It seems like people could just set up high paying keyword information and just go another IP address/Computer and click on their own ads.
What’s your take on that?
