You know, it just seems like more and more people are moving to Linux these days. This seems to be especially true for offices overseas.
How many Open Source apps does it take to screw in a light bulb? Here’s the latest word from the Linux galaxy, Open Source projects, command line assistance, desktop environment downloads, distribution revisions, cross-platform tools, and general help for those exploring this fantastic OS!

Argh! Will we ever be safe the scourge that is the Internet? Not if we care to continue using the Internet. We now have some fresh issues for both IE and Firefox…
HP continues to make moves along with their more overt Linux support. It should be interesting to see where this leads?
I am not even going to comment on this. I will say however, that this should have happened some time ago. It’s been long enough.
This rocks! I am so happy to see Linux companies looking into doing more for the social space these days. With all of the flack sailing back and forth, I believe it will be social integration efforts like that of Red Hat that will end up giving up the most applause.
Oh this is a great move for Sun. Not only will it serve them well with their UltraSPARC T1 platform, it also will do wonders working with such an attractive PR move them as well.
Could they truly be gearing up for an IPO? All signs are certainly pointing in this direction as of late. What would this mean for the company? Well if they play their cards right, it could mean some serious cash.
Now this is truly unfortunate, folks. While the Darwin open source Mach/Unix core remains available to those running with Power PC Macs, those using the Intel set-ups will not be so lucky…
This is what happens when you do not have a clear policy in place for product transitions. Novell will likely find themselves in the hot seat unless they can get their books balances a little better I suspect.
This actually makes a lot of sense. Look, Ubuntu Linux has a lot going for it and apparently Sun realizes this in a very big way. Take a look….

Now it is quite possible that this was touched on once before. Regardless, this is such a cool thing to talk about it is worth another mention, just in case.
It looks like the Goddard Space Flight Center is going to be Linux ready and Linux happening here sooner than we might think. With a [...]
Oh now this is cool news! It will prove interesting to see exactly where this ends up with time. Thus far, things look pretty promising, though.
Oh man, this is not really something that I think we are ready for. Yes, I suppose the technology is there. However I am concerned with the user’s privacy…
To be honest, I think I would be interested as to how Xandros has managed to balance security with ease of use. This has been a problem with both Linux and Windows as it is; now we have the server side of things as well?
Flat panel TVs running Linux? Say it’s not so! Just kidding, I am thrilled to hear the news. As a matter of fact, it should be interesting to see how wide spread the adoption turns out to be.
Not really all that clear as to why people are leaving Novell in droves. I do suspect however, it may to be to start up new companies in some cases…
While I have heard of MINIX in passing only, I was rather shocked to learn that the OS is still very much alive and kicking! Even 15 years later…
