Forget About Lightroom On Linux - Think LightZone

Face it, there are simply some legacy applications that have yet to truly be replaced by open source options. Yes, it’s unfortunate. But thankfully the proprietary world is slowly realizing that Linux can no longer be blatantly ignored.
One great example of a legacy app that is tough to find a good substitute for is LightRoom by Adobe. Luckily, an alternative from the closed source side of the fence is available. It’s called LightZone. It provides most of the functionality if not near all of it for a much lesser price.
Which is it - $300 or $100? Bundle that price difference along with the fact that LightZone works REALLY well on Ubuntu 9.04 and I would say it is at the very least, worth investigating.
