Nokia Is Banking On Linux

Too little too late, or is Nokia just in time to avoid ridiculous mistakes being made by others. At this point, I think this is something that Nokia has had some time to watch from the sidelines, learning what is working and what is failing. So as they tackle the marketplace with their N900, I suspect that they will be ready for anything the iPhone or Android throws at them.

Yet even with all of this going for them, I have some thoughts that lead me to believe that the ongoing push for Nokia to move onto the Linux platform. They have done alright so far, but considering the ongoing competition with Android as it is, Nokia is going to have to outdo just about everyone around them.

Gone are the days when Nokia was the undisputed king of the jungle. As mobile operating systems evolved, Nokia sat on the sidelines for far too long only to now step it up to a point where they can be competitive again.
