AdSense Banned On Linux Site

It’s always sad to hear about someone being banned from something that is clearly through no fault of their own. But it does seem rather weird when the banning that is taking place is due to something going wrong with a select Linux distribution.

Apparently the head dev behind Arch Linux, was told not too long back that their AdSense account was being terminated due to the Arch Linux website posing a “risk” to AdWords advertisers. Clearly this was nonsense, but as many of us know — Google is the last word on the subject. So unless you can plead one hell of a case, you’re screwed.

Luckily this story has a positive shift in the message though. Despite mysteriously being banned for what seemed like no reason at all, the account was apparently reactivated after social media source Reddit made their voices heard as to how odd-ball this whole thing actually was.
