Should Linux Be Your OS Of Choice

Linux on the netbook is in my opinion, a no brainer. Think about it, what are most netbooks used for? Email, web browsing and maybe working in a Word clone for some text work. Sounds a lot like what most Linux distros provide out of the box.
What, what about wireless printing? You know, from a print server. Yes, Linux can do this as well. What about wifi? What about it! For the love of Pete, netbooks come with WORKING WIFI out of the box. And based on what I am reading, I am hardly the only person with this mindset.
Where things get sticky however, is realizing that while there may be justifiable software needs on the desktop, 99.9% of them on the netbook are simply based on preference. Yes, it is totally fine if someone just prefers to use Windows over Linux. That is honesty I can live with. But to sit there with a straight face and make the case that Linux is too involved on the netbook and instead, using that minefield known as XP until Windows 7 is released, simply shows me people who have never actually tried a recent distro on a netbook.
