Sugar Up Any PC

There should be an image here!Sugar on a stick, anyone? No, this is not some creepy scheme lure people into buying products with promises of candy. Rather a chance for PCs aimed at kids to use a Linux distro that is unlike anything most people have seen before. As most of you already know, the OLPC project runs a Linux distro known as Sugar.

Up until now, this has been fine. Yet it still left out those kids who might be a good match for Sugar but are not in a position to come into the hardware to run it anytime soon. This is where Sugar on a Stick comes in.

Take any old PC and turn into a PC capable of running the kid friendly Sugar operating system. This was the mission of Walter Bender is going after since leaving OLPC. Now heading Sugar Labs, Bender is hoping to bring easier access to Sugar for those who are interested in it.
