Remember not too long back when there was talk about Valve Software porting Windows games over to Linux? How about when there was talk of a native Steam Linux client? Sure, we have not seen a lot of activity since…until now.
Enter Dyson, provided by the Steam client for Windows and Linux platforms. So while the game itself looks more integrating that exciting, I see value in the fact that it shows that Valve is indeed getting serious about supporting this platform that we have grown to love.
The real question will be if we will finally begin to see a larger influx of games made available, thanks to efforts made by Valve’s Steam client? I think it is possible. Who knows, maybe they can even work out distribution with games such as the long awaited UT3 Linux release?
