I have been using Evolution for my email and calendar for what seems like years now. Despite once being a heavy user of Kmail and then later, Thunderbird, Evolution continues to be the defining program for me that keeps me in the GNOME universe.
And according to this article, it seems that yet again, we are seeing Evolution “evolving” as it grows into its next phase. A phase without bonobo. Besides that, it looks as if Evolution is just getting a code refresh, which is good for all those involved.
As for the end users, I will continue enjoy. Evolution may not be as pretty as Outlook, but I have found that it has much less trouble with the crashing and freezing. And I say this with Outlook now, back to 2002. Outlook 2000, was not so bad.
