E-Mail:

$100 And You Can Be At Linux Dot Com Too

There should be an image here! Most people would laugh at the idea of purchasing an email address at any price. Those who are willing to do so, expect it to be reasonably priced and to provide a crap-ton of storage. But then you have novelty addresses. And in most cases, some of them are pretty hair-brained. In the case of Linux.com however, it is definitely an investment in the future of Linux.

The idea is fairly straight forward. Put your money where your mouth is. For $99, you will be helping to provide legal defenses, maintain employment for kernel developers and also provide promotional funds for the Linux brand. Yes, believe it or not, Linux has a brand and logo.

What is a bit of a mystery, is how the email assignment works? While there is the promise of an email address with your name on it, I am still not seeing how it is in fact, given considering I have gone through the shopping cart process myself. The only entry I see is for comments?
