OpenDisc For Windows Users

While folks such as myself prefer using desktop Linux, others find that they would rather stick with Windows for whatever reasons they have. But many of these Windows users might be candidates for using open source apps designed to run on Windows.
One way of doing this is to use what is called the OpenDisc. Formally known as the OpenCD, the OpenDisc comes bundled with open source software from design to Internet applications.
Some of the most compelling of these applications include Blender, GIMP, Scribus, Firefox, FileZilla and Open Office. Now there are a number of additional applications included, but this is the batch that has always stood out to me personally. Those interested in taking the OpenDisc for a spin only need a CD/DVD burning application that is able to handle ISO files.

I didn’t even know they still make this disk. The last time I heard of it was like in 2002. Not sure if it was the same thing though.
Now if only I had a higher internet data cap. I’ve got gigs of stuff I want to download but not too much data.
