HP Mini 110 Is About Choices - Sort Of

Selecting Windows or Linux on a netbook is best suited to individual needs. Despite the ASUS claim that one cannot possibly have a full notebook experience without Windows on it, in the end it comes down to individual choice - not not OS ability for typical netbook function.
One interesting twist in what is being said is the first netbook release of the summer is that XP models will only be made available for 1GB of RAM while the Linux model, is free to have up to 2GBs of RAM.
Speaking for myself personally, having an OS company setting the specs on what might have been my netbook only serves as a friendly reminder as to why I do not “do” Windows any longer. Unless they are changing business models to be more like Apple, I am not impressed with the software company dictating how much RAM I can get on a HP Mini 110. But hey, if you like having your hard choices limited for you, using the much older OS is available for those who would rather using Linux. It’s all about choice…except for the RAM with XP apparently.

More like Apple? Apple is the most restrictive with both their software and hardware. Windows looks like open source compared to Apple! I digress… I do like some Apple products, and I think they are an interesting company. But MS more like Apple?
