Launching an application in Linux generally meant one of the following. Alt-F2, a terminal window or clicking on an icon representing a program or script. Well today, I wanted to share another option with you. It’s called GNOME Do and let me tell you, there is little that GNOME Do cannot do!
Some great examples of using GNOME Do might include using it to edit a document, webpage or other text based product. Tackle Firefox bookmarks without endless scrolling with your mouse. Or even use GNOME Do to whip up some wicked cool bash commands in a hurry.
Please understand that I am barely scratching the surface of what this can do for your own GNOME desktop. Avoiding unneeded use of your mouse has never been this much fun! Installing GNOME Do is easy, as it comes in ready to go packages for most popular distros which include RPM and Deb packages.
