Open LINA - Useful Open Source Program

Gnomie NvidiaX from our live chat room writes:

Hello, Chris!

I’m NvidiaX from the chat room. You may remember me as the one that got the idea of paying you to Rick roll yourself with an iTunes certificate. I know you love Open Source software, so you may be interested in this. As you know most Open Source software is made for UNIX/Linux. I found something really useful. It’s an Open Source project called Open LINA. It lets you run Linux software on Windows and, believe it or not, OS X.

If you’re going to blog about this, or maybe make a video. Please inform Windows users that the Win32 installer may not work correctly the first time. If it crashes, just retry — it should work the second time.

Chris,
On the installation, it hung approximately half way. So I tried to install it again. It then said it was installed (even though XP does not show it on Add/Remove Programs or on the Start menu or Desktop). Any ideas?
John
