Learn to install Linux on a PC with Windows already installed.
- It’s easy to install and if need be, remove Ubuntu with Wubi
- Provides a dual-boot without needing GRUB - uses Windows MBR
- Remove it from within Windows itself - it’s just that easy
Do you have an Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Simply Mepis, Linspire/Freespire or PCLinuxOS related question? Perhaps you are just burnt out on writing on the walls with crayons? Whatever the comments may be, drop me a line, and you too can “Just Ask Matt”- Linux Edition!

Brian,
The case lettering that it is talking about is to be lowercase, or in this case, whatever case you typed all the words in… The password I think, for your first time into Ubuntu is “ubuntu”, with the password being the same word.
I’m not tottally sure of that, since it’s been a while, but I’m pretty sure that’s the answer your looking for.

Ginger: Your best bet is to post your problem at the Ubuntu Forums. Also, I would be sure to turn off the caps key unless it is on due to visual accessibility for you personally. In other words, if the capital letter is needed due to vision, please be sure to post this at the beginning of your post as it is otherwise comsidered yelling. :)

to Pigeon: Wubi doesn’t support Mint; however if you simply wanted an easy way to do a no-CD install, try UNetbootin at http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ which can create a Linux Mint LiveUSB drive from which you can install Mint. UNetbootin also works with Ubuntu, Fedora, PCLinuxOS and other distros.
