Thanks for trying but this doesn’t work on gutsy 7.10 x86 64-bit.

This is likely due to the fact that it was a script made for older versions of Ubuntu.

Only one problem though, you can’t watch the video from a Ubuntu x64 because you don’t have flash installet…yet :)

Ben: Yeah, this is a VERY dated now obsolete article. I run x64 on both an AMD system and an Intel dual core system. To get Flash working, I go to a page requiring flash such as Youtube, ensure that my multiverse repository is enabled and follow the immediate prompts - that’s it.

Any updates for Ubuntu 8.10 x64?
The automagic prompt from from Adobe offers a deb or apt package for 8.04 or later. It doesn’t seem to recognize that I am 64 bit? Neither works.
Will someone take pity on us n00bs and give a blow by blow how to enable flash for 64 bit?
And if I can somehow manage to upgrade my OO 2.4.1 to OO 3.0, I will actually be able to get real work done!

ramasan: For Flash on 64bit Ubuntu 8.10, with all web browsers closed, just goto Synaptic and install
flashplugin-nonfree
All dependencies for 64bit will take care of themselves.

I automated the process of installing flash 32bit and 64bit in Ubuntu Desktop. It even works with pulseaudio.
