To each of you who have tried Linux and have found it to be a good match, congrats. But to those of you who simply cannot bring themselves over to that side of the fence due to Wi-Fi issues or a seeming lack of applications.
With this in mind, here are some resources that might be of better service to you.
- Closed Source to Open Source
- Installing applications from Add/Remove in Ubuntu, or perhaps instead…
- A hand locating working wireless cards - do not waste hours of headaches with Broadcom integrated wifi and NDISWrapper.
At the end of the day, it may be enough to simply make XP look like Ubuntu. It’ll probably be enough to convince your friends if nothing else.
