Windows users remember the company for introducing the widely successful AVG antivirus. Well, it looks as if their Linux efforts are about to come to a full bloom
Czech security company Grisoft on Monday posted a public beta for the newest version of its suite that runs on Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD systems.
AVG Internet Security 7.5, said Grisoft, includes a personal firewall, spam filter, anti-phishing and anti-spyware tools, and an updated version of the company’s flagship AVG Anti-Virus. Grisoft will also add a pair of new titles to its product line with upgrades to the 7.5 mark, including AVG Anti-Spyware and AVG Anti-Malware, a combination package that integrates anti-virus and anti-spyware protection.
According to Grisoft, the Windows version of Beta 1 will run under
