Industrial Linux distro changes names

And so with real time Linux in embedded devices, we now have a device change to contend with.

A real-time (RTAI-based) embedded Linux distribution targeting industrial applications has changed its name. Koan Software’s Klinux (formerly K-Linux) will henceforth be known as KaeilOS (Koan advanced embedded industrial Linux operating system), according to founder Marco Cavallini.

Cavallini describes KaeilOS 2.4.0 as “a complete development environment” that includes tested, validated 2.6.15 and 2.4.31 kernels and BSPs (board support packages) for Kontron and Taskit modules. It also includes an IDE (integrated development environment), and debugging instruments for embedded and real-time systems. Support documentation is available in English or Italian….
