As someone who uses a number of OS’ in his day, SuSE certainly of great interest to me. I may decide to download this and check it out for myself….
How many Open Source apps does it take to screw in a light bulb? Here’s the latest word from the Linux galaxy, Open Source projects, command line assistance, desktop environment downloads, distribution revisions, cross-platform tools, and general help for those exploring this fantastic OS!

Do we really need another Open Source calender? I tend to think not myself, personally. I mean, hasn’t this been done to death?
Perhaps instead, they have something else in mind? Maybe, just maybe there will be some new concept that will change calenders forever? Eh maybe not. I think it has been done to [...]
Standardization? Linux? Finally! Yes, if this is done with plenty of thought and planning, this could indeed be HUGE.
Interesting to say the least. Not completely sure I agree with trying this approach in its current firm, I do use Linspire and SuSE both. Not too sure if using Freespire really offers anything for me specifically, though.
All is not well in the world of FreeBSD! Man, Torvalds is not interested in sparing feelings I take it. Maybe they can deal with this in a more productive manner later on?
Since Intel is cuddling with Apple, it only makes sense that AMD would be interested in Linux. Check this out…
If they are truly going to be offering virtualization for both 32 and 64 bit architectures, then boy oh boy am I going to consider switching to this distro!
OK, how many of you have been waiting for this? Come on, you know you have been waiting for a good review of SuSe 10.1 RC ….
No matter how much we might want it, building a home Linux Media Center takes a little elbow grease and a decent how-to. Can’t help with the grease, however here is a decent how-to. Well, it’s a start I guess.
Reliable, safe, stable. These are terms we might expect to hear when learning about new Linux distros. But to hear the word “Stunning” is unexpected.
Let’s face it, there entirely too many OpenSSH server installs that are not as secure as we like to believe. Well, it took a blog post to address this and address it clearly they have.
Is there really such a thing as a perfect Linux setup? Well that depends on your needs I guess. For many, the following offers all that they could hope for…
I myself have Google’s OSS presentation on video for any one who is interested. Moving on, I think it is interesting how Google uses the Open Source world and yet at the same time, manages to protect their trade secrets.
Oh man, this is something that I was trying to figure out myself not too long back. Being I run Linspire on my desktop (it does a great job at maintaining my apps) and SuSe on my notebook, being able to keep them in sync is critical to me.
Luckily Linux viruses are not an issue. If they were, the speed in which this patch was being release might have me somewhat concerned. Call me paranoid, but I would like to see better security preparedness as this OS continues to grow.
We are hearing the term virtualization almost daily. And yet, how much do we truly understand. Perhaps not as much as we might like to think. So maybe we need to examine the contents of this interview below even more carefully based on this?
Cool name for an even cooler use for mobile Linux. Frankly, I’d like to see something like this in the states. I am not a sports nut, mind you. But the idea of seeing more apps working with mobile Linux would definitely do my heart good.
I don’t really feel that it is a good comparison for Linux to challenge Vista. Both have their benefits while each has its own set of disadvantages. You know, much like XP and the current Linux distributions currently out there.
With all of the games being offered on this CD, the one I have been addicted to the most would have to be Frozen Bubble. No matter which distro I end up with, this is the one thing that comes with me.
Ubuntu has fascinated me for sometime now. Honestly, I just could not ever bring myself to switch to it specifically. What is the attraction? I love SuSE, what makes it better than Novell’s product?
