Linux desktop adds online, brick-and-morter retailers

There is really no question that Linux needs this. Everyday people need to be exposed to the OS in order to truly decide if this is the option for them. Going brick and mortar is a great place to start…

Xandros is making major strides at going mainstream. Last week the Linux distro-maker revealed that online retail giant TigerDirect.com is now carrying its line of desktop Linux operating systems, and Tuesday the company announced that retail giant CompUSA is stocking its Xandros Desktop nationwide.

Xandros joins Linspire and Novell SUSE Linux as the only three Linux distributions available for sale through TigerDirect.com.
