Video editing- A major need for linux

As I read this piece below, I found myself agreeing with this budding young writer on more than one point. Does Linux need a really good video editor; coupled along with plenty of video camera drivers - yes it does.
I use Ubuntu Linux as my main OS on my computer. It works wonderfully. I am completely malware-free, never freezes, and has better support than Windows. In addition, I’ve been able to find replacements for all the Windows apps I used to use, mainly using this website .
Unfortunately, I still keep Windows on my computer for one task. A single task. That task is video editing, I have not been able to find a single video editing program on Linux that runs well and suits my needs. Source: Film It
