Certainly an attractive enough music player. Unlike the one this might resemble however, I believe that we will see this one run cross platform once it is released.
Songbird’s UI is built using XUL and CSS. As a designer who likes to do his own mark-up, I found this combination a natural extension to my extant webdev skill set.
Since the first website I authored in 1996, the variety and extent of things possible on the Internet has multiplied ten-fold. Back then it was more about translating print into the web than it was about a user-centered approach. Simple pages were easy to write in notepad, but limited to static experiences.
