I wonder if Chris DiBona is keeping up with comments like the one I found in the Channel 9 forums. While I tend to roll my eyes at 90% of the content put up here, it looks like I might have to re-think my position on the writers for this forum. In other words, I think they have a valid point this time around about Google and OSS.
Scoble’s thread on google earth got me thinking.
Google has made tons of money based on open source and linux technologies, and yet, it’s desktop search, it’s toolbars, and it’s earthmap program don’t even work on linux, and they’re too cheap to hire people to fix that.Google is no better than microsoft. They are possibly worse, because they are leeches.
