Linspire 5-0

OK, Linspire is great. For the most part it can offer a lot to those who want to use an alternative to Windows, but want to remain in a plastic bubble and pretty much learn nothing about the inner workings of Linux. Having said this, I will happily stick with Mepis and Xandros.

I have been using windows for over 10 years and I never thought I could use anything else or even learn how to use Linux because I was always told Linux was really hard to use. So I bought Linspire 5.0 and decided to give it a try I sat down in my chair and put my Linspire 5 cd in and booted up my computer. Everything started all by its self I was presented with a very clean and colorful screen that asked me a couple questions and then it started installing on my hard drive. It was a beautiful thing it just installed and did its stuff all by its self it could not have been any easier. I mean it when I say easy this thing was effortless about 10 minuets later I was a my new desktop.

When it comes to Making Linux easy and fun Linspire has done a Fantastic job.

I could not have asked for more my days of using Windows are over for good and I could not be happier.

Thank you Linspire for giving me a choice and delivering a truly outstanding product.

I have never used Linux before so I had no idea what to expect once it was finished but as I soon found out I had a lot of familiar icons that I have come used to having on my desktop. A sense of comfort came across me and I told myself well That’s my trash can and there’s my email icon. It was all coming together now it was not such a strange place after all. About 20 minutes after watching the very helpful video tutorials Linspire has I was surfing the Internet and checking my Emails. I launched Lsongs and was streaming my Favorite music through the built in shoutcast radio and doing way more then I ever thought I could do in Linux. This is truly a Great Product. I was sent a file through email today from a co-worker and he asked me to edit a couple lines in the file. I told him sure no problem I opened the Open Office program that came free Not $200.00 - $300.00 Like some other office software But free And was able to edit the file and send it back to him in less then an hour.
