Puppy Linux

Much like a real life puppy, Puppy Linux is small and yet, happens to be quite full featured. DistroWatch is boasting all of its other great features other than its size. Speaking for myself, I like the mascot the best! He is so cute!

Puppy Linux 0.9.9 is out: “Puppy version 0.9.9 is released. There are now three live-CD flavours to choose from - the live-CD ISO file with Firefox, with the full Mozilla suite, and with Opera. Release notes: Puppy live-CDs are now built from Puppy Unleashed, which is a collection of packages and a build script. Unleashed is a separate product and is announced below. The Mozilla flavour of Puppy is version 1.7.5 and is the full suite, including Composer HTML editor, Calendar, Addressbook, and Mail & News. The Macromedia Flash player is also included in the ISO (note, the other flavours require the Flash player to be downloaded separately). Puppy now has his very own Wiki, called DidiWiki, with inbuilt HTTP server.”

Please send me Puppy linux. I have an old computer which has only 128 meg of memory in it. Mark S Hart , 146 Victoria w, Scotstown, Quebec,Canada, Job 3b0

This is a little out of date now as Puppy has gone through a lot of improvements.

The latest stable release is 2.11 and is based on the 2.16.16.7 kernel. Hardware recognition is for the size of the distro 70MB incredible, and it still has all of the goodies like abiword, gnumeric, seamonkey, gxine, xripper, etc. I use it as my main system

ive been surfing the web for 3 hours and i cant find dot pet applications..need help pls.
