OpenOSX ships Office 1.5.1

Think that Apple users have been left out of the Open Source loop, think again. In truth, they do have access to software from the Open Source realm. For instance, take OpenOSX.

OpenOSX provides Mac users with a great Open Source Office alternative that will prevent them from having to give up their ever-so-loved Macs!

OpenOSX today announced the availability of Office 1.5.1 for Mac OS X, an easy-to-use solution for configuring, installing and utilizing the open source “GNOME Office”; offering users a wealth of productivity programs. This newest edition brings updated software including an optional, all Cocoa “preview” version of AbiWord and OpenOSX developed documentation for SodiPodi. OpenOSX Office priced at US$30 for the downloadable version.
