Certification vendor CompTIA is revamping their Linux+ certification, and they’re looking for user feedback on their new tests. The beta test period has been extended through 12/31/04, during which you can take the test for only $75.00 (approximately half off if I remember right).
Full details on the new test and how to sign up can be found here. Like many of the CompTIA certs, it’s the equivalent of 6-12 months of experience. The Linux+ cert concentrates on installation, configuration, security, administration, and hardware.
The full list of test objectives can be obtained by filling out a short form. The objectives list is seven pages long and should provide you with a good idea of what you’ll want to study prior to the test.
