Order Comic Books with Linux

I haven’t been posting much of late, mostly because I’ve been working hard on some of my fiction writing projects to clear my desk for National Novel Writing Month (which starts today). One of those projects is a three-issue comic book script, and as such I thought it would be appropriate to post a link for my fellow comic book fans.
If you look for or order titles in the Previews comic book guide, you may be interested in Previews Reader, a GNOME app (written in Python) recently posted to the Gnomefiles database.
The app is a simple interface for browsing through the Previews guide and tracking orders. It’s in early development, but it looks like the author’s put a lot of work into it since it was first posted in September. Personally, I avoid Previews like the plague because I don’t have the budget to order all the comics I’d be interested in, but for those of you consult Previews for all purchases, maybe this will help make your life easier.
And if you’re not a comics fan, drop by a shop and browse around! Sure, the superhero stuff is still out there, but I’m more into the horror, crime and science fiction books myself. I highly recommend 100 Bullets, Fables, Y: The Last Man, Powers, Hellboy (if you liked the movie you’ll LOVE the comics), Queen & Country, and Hellblazer. And that’s only from some of the bigger publishers…
