India Shares Open Source Experiences Through Web Site

India’s National Informatics Center, a subsidiary of its Department of Information Technology, has launched a site to share the center’s experiences with open source software, with the intent of using it to build applications. The site will focus on database software, JDBC links, issues with languages in JSP and PHP applications, as well as drivers for Linux.
This just shows the power of the movement towards Open Source in the rest of the world, that we, for reasons unknown to me, haven’t seen in the Western World. Read more about it at ZDNet UK here. [Raymond Mendoza]
