Interactive Linux Manual

The International Open Source Network has recently put together a Flash-based training utility based on their already-existing manuals for Linux users. It is currently in the preview stage, and is available for for public review here. As long as you have Flash on your system, you should have no problem accessing the file.

Note: it ran very slow for me. Not sure if there’s a problem with the file or their bandwidth is taking a hit from the announcement or what. Be patient and you’ll get there.

The ultimate goal is to burn the materials to CD for training purposes. New users would then be able to view the materials anywhere while they’re learning their way around their new boxen.

This is a great idea, and I hope it takes off. If that weird dude who’s always saying “Try my product!” can push those other training CD’s on television, I would think people can get some use out of these puppies, too.
