Review of Xandros 2.5 Deluxe

I personally love to read reviews, and this review of Xandros is no exception either. One of the first points that I picked up on was the fact that the reviewer feels that this distro really lacks the traditional power that a Linux power users likes to see in their OS. Another point that is made is upgrading is not recommended since the kernel remains at 2.4.

I’ve performed countless Linux installations in my lifetime but I’ve never seen anything compared to Xandros’ installer. The “Express Install” can be performed in four steps. That puts Windows to shame. The other type of install you can do is a “Custom Install” and this is what I chose, of course. “Custom “is a good word to describe it because you definitely don’t need to be an expert to go through this option.
