SpecOps Laboratories (DBA-SpecOpS Labs) Philippine-based SpecOps Labs is nearing the rollout phase of a bridge software that when made available commercially, will allow millions of computer users to run Windows-based programs using the rival Linux operating system.

“We’re configuring David in a way that will make installation simple. There will be no need to recompile application source codes or to resort to porting or anything similar. We’re doing away with complicated features that are beyond the understanding of the average Windows application user. David will be available through Turbolinux and other Linux Distros, and for plug- and-play installation either through the Internet, or from a CD-ROM,” says Fredrick Lewis, the Chief Executive of SpecOps Labs. “David” was developed by a team of IT professionals, software engineers and specialists from De La Salle University, one of the Philippines’ leading universities and SpecOps Laboratories. David is expected to help level the operating systems playing field, freeing consumers currently limited to Windows systems and giving them the freedom to migrate to alternative operating systems. “There’s been a lot of hype about David, but rightly so. David will be a force in the coming Desktop Linux revolution and change forever the way the world computes,” says Lewis.
